12450 USB 0437z: OMs in Spanish language with boat engine noise heard in background.

13107 USB 1430z: Presumed XSQ Guangzhou Radio w/ maritime phone traffic. Mostly YLs with noticeable background noise and they would play occasional music.  

15721 USB 0407z: Russian S06 numbers station in progress; heavy splatter from RNZI on 15720.

Asian phone relays on 261.825. I started picking these up around the same time the Antarctic Deep Freeze traffic resumed. This also happened last year when Deep Freeze was using 263.625. Don’t know if related or not, but I thought it was an interesting observation.

Earlier this evening Ice 01 wkg Deep Freeze Ops on 261.825. They were doing a lot of radio checks, so perhaps this will be the primary frequency for the upcoming season. I’ll keep an ear on it.
