10458 USB 0822: Unid OM reading off long messages — almost sounded like an order or shipment? Unknown language w/ some English and Spanish words recognized.  

13294 USB 0254: Unid aircraft calling Kinshasa “on 13294” with no response heard.  

15015 USB 0312: Unid YLs in unknown language.  

261.575 CONUS: Casino 1 calling Money Net (sound like) reporting launch no go. Casino 1 also attempted to raise Red Crown but was no joy.

DPRK-flagWith North Korea back in the news, I thought it would be a great time to check in with the Voice of Korea. Their English language broadcast from Pyongyang can be heard daily from much of the western USA. The frequencies to monitor are 9335 and 11710 kHz during the morning hours, and again in the late evening on 13760 and 15180 kHz.


15180 kHz – Response to US bombers over South Korea — DPRK strategic rocket forces ready to strike US targets and general threats of nuclear war.

11175 USB 1833: Viking 88 wkg Offutt for phone patch w/ North Star (sounded like).

Had a brief voice check from Sniper 21 on 263.875 off the Pacific region.
