261.825 POR: Aircraft 8195 making calls to Deep Freeze Ops and Charleston ROF So far this frequency has been the one to monitor for this years Operation Deep Freeze season. Late winter flights, known as WINFLY, for Operation Deep Freeze 2011-2012 began August 20, 2011. Summer season airlift operations begin in late October, so activity should be picking up once again.

Welcome fellow radio monitors and enthusiasts! Here you will find my reception logs and audio recordings for HF and SATCOM (with a focus on aviation and military) along with other interesting and odd things that have been monitored over the airwaves.

The majority of the logs and audio clips posted here have been monitored directly from my location in Southern California. I also share intercepts from online SDRs. They will be tagged with KiwiSDR to help identify.

My primary HF setup is the WinRadio G31DDC paired with magnetic loops such as the Wellbrook ALA1530. For UHF SATCOM, antennas used are the Trivec Avant AV-2011, AV-2055 and AV-2095.
