As Tropical Cyclone Yasi makes landfall in Australia, the coverage from ABC Queensland has been carried live via Radio Australia’s SWL station. Here is an audio clip of the emergency information broadcast monitored on 9580 kHz.

The majority of the logs and audio clips posted here have been monitored directly from my location in Southern California. I also share intercepts from online SDRs. They will be tagged with KiwiSDR to help identify.
My primary HF setup is the WinRadio G31DDC paired with magnetic loops such as the Wellbrook ALA1530. For UHF SATCOM, antennas used are the Trivec Avant AV-2011, AV-2055 and AV-2095.
