Lately there has been some exciting stuff monitored from the Mediterranean region out of Libya. One of them being the Commando Solo broadcasts from a Lockheed EC-130J aircraft c/s “Steel 74″operating in the region. Part of the mission has been to broadcast warning messages to the Libyan Navy advising sailors to leave their ships or face deadly consequences. Frequencies 6877 and 10405 kHz USB have been used over the past week.

Here’s a recording taken this morning via remote SDR in Germany.

With band conditions improving, I have been getting up early to catch stations from Asia and the Pacific. This morning I was listening to the Chinese numbers station (V26) transmitting on 7553 kHz in USB mode. I also heard them last week on 9153 kHz USB. The Enigma Control List shows 4283, 9054 and a few other frequencies V26 has been reported on. Best time to listen here on the west coast is between 1300 and 1400 Zulu.

Audio clip monitored from California on March 28, 2011.

Last night HAARP (High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program) was up on 3250 kHz and received very well here in California. It was the first time I have been able to watch it on the SDR waterfall and it was pretty interesting to say the least.

Here are 2 screenshots from HDSDR. (Click for larger view)

Below is an audio clip of what some of the HAARP tones sounded like.
